New York!

Hey guys!
I dont really have the time to be doing this right now because i have a hugh math test tomorrow and i need to study, BUT i habe like 6 hours till i go to bed so its fine.
I’ve been missing Hanoi and everyone like crazy (including some teachers), but i’ve been in UNIS here for four days already and i think i’ll adjust sooner than later. Well i’ve been keeping in touch with some of you i havent been able to with others because of the 12 hour time difference which is really annoying.
New York is like a jungle, there are so many different places to go to, so many people passing all the time, and there are so many things to do that its almost scary. To get around here i take busses, the metro, trams, and taxis other than the Noi Bai taxis and the 10 thou xe om’s. I’m in an appartment for now. We’re paying almost double of what we were in Hanoi yet its really small. I think my parents might end up buying a house in brooklyn (where the houses are bigger) or even in the suberbs where the houses are as big as in Hanoi. I havent been to see all the monuments yet, and now that i’m tied down with school work its even harder.
School here is alot different than i had anticipated! Its really huge and confusing coming from UNIS hanoi but i’ll get used to it (i hope). The people here have made things very easy for me. They are extremely welcoming to new people and almost annoyingly all the girls are obsessed with Twilight. I feel that the school here is alot more academically, so you guys are getting it easy :0.
I really want to come back and vitit you guys and come “home” i guess.
Miss you all!
Bye
P.S. Sorry Ms.Michetti if there are spelling and grammar mistakes. I wrote this in about 5 minutes and i have to go study.

Being Silly with the Brits
November 23rd, 2008 by gunners
Are there any holidays that, in your experience, are connected with carefree fun and merry-making? What are they? Write about a holiday, or a time, when you were inordinately silly.
During the summer holidays, My family and I went all around the world starting in England. We made a stop over in England on our way to America, and what fun it was. We arrived in the morning in Heathrow Airport and after we took out bloody expensive eighty pound taxi back to the house of my aunt. We got there and the after all the “Oh my god you’ve grown so much!” and the “Oh gosh, look how cute you are!” I set off with my twelve year old cousin into the park. On the way there we met a bunch of his mates and they were already on their way there so we tagged along. After about ten minutes of jokes, laughing, and chatting we were finally there. We were lucky enough for one of the fields to be free so we ran onto it and started playing footie.
During the first ten minutes of playing, my cousin needed the loo and went off in search of one. His mates and i noticed that he had left his bag on the field and it was too tempting not to do anything. We thought for a while then finally decided to get all his clothes and hang them up on a tree. So we went and got his shirt, his shorts, and his boxers and hung them up on a tree in the middle of the park. We were satisfied what we had done when people passing by would look up and giggle or look absolutely puzzled.
When he came back out of the loo none of us could keep a straight face so we burst out laughing! He quickly realised what we had done and went about to try and get his clothes down. But there was one problem, we couldn’t. We were just starting to realise just how stupid we were. The only way to get it down was to ask someone tall for help. So we went up to strangers and asked for help, but the usual response was something like “You boys shouldn’t be so stupid, it’s good for you because now you have learnt your lesson!” We finally met a helpful lad and he just managed to get his clothes down.
Once his clothes were safe on the ground, my cousin gave us all a blasting, but all we could do was roll in the floor in absolute hysteria. This was a great experience in England with my cousin and these types of stupid things kept happening for the duration of our stay there.
